Good morning everyone.
Earlier I received a notification to be on the National Prayer Call for Governor's. To understand why this is a miracle, allow me to bore you for a moment. As a writer and speaker on conservative values, I average approximately 2,000 emails per day. It is a neverending task to get through it all, as there is just me.
Last week was particularly discouraging for me as the hecklers and naysayers were fairly vicious during my speech. That fact, plus the results of my research last week, left me somewhat downhearted. I pray every day. Last week I asked God to show me the way. Please help me to see if I am making a difference at all.
Last night before bed, I glanced at email. Glancing is the understatement. I'd been called for jury duty and have to return on Tuesday. Everything was a rush. At the top of my inbox was a subject line in all bold. For those of you who have gmail, you may wonder how this happened. I never get bold subject lines that leap off the page. It was an announcement for a prayer call today with the National Prayer team for the Governors. I couldn't get this off my mind. Today I tuned in, and heard many fine prayers to God that helped me to see what needs to be done.
My prayer was to ask that our country and the world be forgiven for turning away from God. I had to leave the call early to ready myself for jury duty in town. Before leaving in the car, I received another email message, and this one was from a 912 moderator, Jared Law. The phrases he had in his message bear repeating.
" Pray for these misguided, deceived souls. More importantly, pray for their potential victims, and please PRAY FOR AMERICA!"
Answers to my prayer came today. I know my every step will be guided by God, if I listen. He will give me strength, purpose, and the energy to help. Thank you God!
