To me this question is rooted in the lack of morals and ethics in our society. Science inaccurately condemned creation (and has since acknowledged life as intelligent design) and endorsed evolution that gave man license to cheat each other based on profit (man's idolatry to himself and money). This makes the issue more relevant today than when the question was asked in 2011.
There is an old saying of "Holding friends close but to keep your enemies closer"! God tells us to love and pray for our enemies (and we should), the intent of this old adage is based on the need to know the strengths, weaknesses and desires of your enemy so as to make sure you are prepared to defend your ideals.
At the state and federal level we must continue to repent to our Creator for the unwillingness and / or inability to stand against the humanist world view. We should strive to elevate and share the 7 mountains of prayer defined by the National Day of Prayer as: (Religion, Family, Education, Business, Government, Media and Arts & Entertainment).
We must continue to pray for strength, wisdom and protection from militant factions who are beating and intimidating anyone supporting Trump or conservative values. We know that we also deal with powers and principalities against God and not just man. As God opens our eyes through prayer we must have the wisdom to stand on the truth to re-engage the first two Amendments of the constitution that make "We the People", the unborn children, our elderly, widows and orphans people of consequence and means in our society as our Father intended. We must vote......
