We are grateful to have as this week's host, Sara Ballenger from the Capitol Hill Prayer Partners.Please join us as we agree for God's Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth, in our nation as it is in heaven.
It is our prayer that your celebration of our Lord's birth continues as we daily celebrate the birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension of our living King and Lord Jesus Christ!
The prayer focus of the National call will be:
In seeking the LORD for His direction on this call, especially in the midst of this holiday season, two major themes come to mind:
First, preparing our hearts to welcome the new Congress to Washington. The 112th session of Congress will be sworn in next week on Wednesday, January 5th, so it seems appropriate for us to begin to shift our focus from “what was” to “what will be” in the year ahead in our federal government.
I will share a bit about the composition of the membership – returning and new – and then ask participants on the call to bring forth prayers of blessing over this governmental body.
Second, I would like to explore in some depth the differences between the civil government which is governed by man; And the Kingdom government which is governed by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. As we both know by Scripture, God’s kingdom government reigns supreme and is ever increasing. I will share some insights on the nature of this government
That the LORD has shown me over time, – insights that I believe will bless, establish, and strengthen the hands of Those who are called to intercede for our government to come into alignment with the perfect will of the Father.
